Spring Mania

Many a bipolar is going into mania as the flowers bloom and the trees become green again. It’s kind of scary for them, and people around them. My best friend is working through a manic phase, and I was just reading at bipolarkitty that she is in the same predicament. I would love to know what it is about the sunshine and blooming trees that makes a bipolar go manic.

For me, the sunshine can only help. I hate the dark dankness that send me into a nearly uncontrollable spiral downward. It is like death every time. That is where my best friend and I differ greatly. I used to love the darkness and the rain, because I felt the most then. Of course, I never realized till recently just how BAD that was for me.
